Since November 2007, the EPA has conducted removal activities consisting of excavation and disposal of residential soils (OU1, 2 and 3) exceeding 1, 200 parts per million (ppm)lead and childcare facilities with soils exceeding 400 ppm lead.

Southwest Jefferson County Mining is a federal Superfund site in Missouri.
